South America Head of Tax - Tax Senior Manager

 Our client is a large American multinational company operating globally across the agribusiness, grains, energy, and supply chain sectors, with a strong presence in commodities and international operations.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this professional will be responsible for leading complex tax initiatives and high-impact projects across the organization. The role will act as a strong Business Partner (BP) to the business areas, supporting operational growth through strategic tax analysis, optimization initiatives, and close interaction with global stakeholders.

The main responsibilities of this professional will include:

• Act as a key Business Partner to leadership teams, supporting strategic decisions and operational growth across the region. 
• Lead the Tax function across South America, overseeing compliance, tax planning, and strategic business partnership activities. 
• Drive high-impact tax projects with strong focus on execution, optimization, governance, and operational excellence. 
• Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
• Ensure efficient, scalable, and well-structured tax processes, with strong focus on execution quality and timely delivery. 
• Promote process simplification, automation, and technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational complexity. 
• Partner closely with regional and global stakeholders, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and business objectives. 
• Support CHS Finance priorities, including people development, risk mitigation, process improvement, and trusted business partnership.

We are seeking a professional with solid experience in large multinational companies, operating within complex and matrixed organizational structures, as well as previous experience in a Big 4 environment and a consistent track record leading large multidisciplinary teams.

This professional should demonstrate proven experience in driving strategic transformation initiatives, managing significant regulatory changes, and supporting business restructuring and turnaround processes. Fluency in English is essential for regional operations and interaction with local and global stakeholders. Spanish will be considered a strong plus.
