Our client is one of the world’s leading global biopharmaceutical companies, recognized for its strong commitment to science, innovation, healthcare access, and the transformation of the healthcare ecosystem, with a highly strategic presence across Oncology, Rare Diseases, and BioPharmaceuticals.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will be responsible for leading the company’s entire Corporate Affairs strategy in Brazil in an integrated manner, encompassing Government & Institutional Affairs, Public Policy, Corporate Communications (Internal & External), Reputation Management, Stakeholder Engagement, and Patient Advocacy.

This is a highly senior and strategic position, with significant institutional exposure and constant interaction with local, regional, and global leadership teams, as well as strong visibility among key stakeholders across the public sector, regulatory agencies, industry associations, media, medical community, patient organizations, and civil society.

The main responsibilities of this executive will include:

  • Leading the integrated Corporate Affairs strategy in Brazil, aligning institutional, regulatory, reputational, and communications agendas with the company’s strategic business objectives;
  • Acting as the company’s lead executive for Government Affairs & Public Policy in Brazil, managing high-level agendas with the Federal Government, National Congress, ANVISA, Ministry of Health, CMED, CONITEC, industry associations, and other key stakeholders within the healthcare sector;
  • Leading strategic discussions related to healthcare access, drug incorporation, health technology assessment, public policies for the pharmaceutical sector, and Productive Development Partnerships (PDPs);
  • Developing and implementing institutional and patient advocacy strategies, strengthening the company’s positioning within the healthcare ecosystem, patient associations, medical societies, and civil society organizations;
  • Leading the company’s internal and external corporate communications strategy, including media relations, institutional positioning, reputation management, crisis management, and corporate narrative development;
  • Building and strengthening high-level institutional relationships with both public and private stakeholders, increasing the company’s strategic influence and relevance within the Brazilian political and regulatory environment;
  • Acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on political, regulatory, reputational, and institutional engagement matters;
  • Leading a multidisciplinary Corporate Affairs team, fostering integration across the distinct functions, and promoting a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior executive with solid experience in leadership positions across Government & Institutional Affairs, Public Policy, Patient Advocacy, and Corporate Communications, exclusively within the pharmaceutical industry and companies focused on specialty care and rare diseases.

A deep understanding of the Brazilian political, regulatory, and healthcare landscape will be essential, including strong familiarity with drug incorporation processes, public healthcare policies for the pharmaceutical sector, and Productive Development Partnerships (PDPs).

Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Spanish will be considered a strong asset.
